RESUME WRITING TIPS

Today, employers of all types utilize Resume Database Technology as a tool to open vast networks of qualified candidates. Using keywords in your resume will allow your specific skills to be best matched with the right opportunity.

The first half of your resume should be comprehensive enough to facilitate database skill searches. Using keywords keeps skills current throughout job changes. List your transferable technical skills in order of ability. Avoid listing products or systems unique to one organization that is not recognized by other companies.

The remainder of the resume lists your employment history. Detail how you have used your skills. Keep job descriptions brief, focused on technical responsibilities and applications and avoid unnecessary details.
