Job Summary:

 

The Senior Systems Analyst works closely with Business Analysts, DBA’s, Data Modelers, and the Data Architect in an analytic role focused on understanding data, as it is implemented in existing applications and databases and at the level of requirements for new data. This role has key analysis responsibilities including data profiling, source system analysis, identification and definition of data transformation rules, analysis of data structures, and other activities in the area of how data is stored and moved throughout the application environment.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Perform data profiling and systems analysis. Assess the appropriateness of the use of data structures for their intended business and technical use.
• Perform source system data analysis including data quality, SOR considerations, integration processes.
• Work with business SME’s (subject matter experts), data stewards, and data modelers to identify and document business rules for data transformations.
• Research potential data sources to verify definitions and to assess the quality of the data.
• Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience;
• 2+ years as a Systems Analyst for Information Management / Business Intelligence domains, preferably in the health care/pharmaceutical industry;
• 4+ years experience as a developer of IM solutions to satisfy Business Intelligence requirements

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate and present effectively with business and IT stakeholders to gain consensus;
• Ability to balance opposing viewpoints and seek optimal solutions;
• Proficient in data analysis, data profiling and data modeling
• Self-learner and ability to work independent
