AZ - IT Security Engineer II
- Job Responsibilities:
* Location: Scottsdale, AZ *
* Type: 12 Month Contract *
* Job Description: BSCS, BSCE, or BS Software Engineering 2 years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience. Applies current computer science technologies to the design, development, evaluation, and integration of computer systems and networks to maintain system security. Provides security engineering and integration services to customers. Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, electronic data traffic and network access. Executes security test case scenarios, documents results, and reports problems identified. Monitors and resolves security metrics in the system and reports issues to management. Participates on a trade study team that analyzes problems, proposes and executes solutions. Establishes peer to peer mentoring relationships.
* Required Skills: Experience with the secure configurations of large-scale, distributed networks implementing various client-server technology and web-based applications. Experience with the secure configurations of Windows XP workstations, Windows 2003 servers, or the various UNIX OS variants (Solaris, Linux, etc.). Any experience with the application of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides, assessing DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Reports, or assessing Common Vulnerabilities & Exposures (CVEs) is a plus. Also desirable is experience securing an enterprise network from external attacks including the configuration of border routers, firewalls, IDS's, Anti-Virus, etc. and internal attacks and missuse of resources. Also desirable is experience in network infrastructure management including security management, configuration management, and fault management. Also desirable is experience as a system administrator (SYSADMIN) for enterprise networks.
