MA - System Administrator
- Job Responsibilities:
* Location: Needham, MA *
* Type: 12 Month Contract *
* Job Description: Candidate will be a member of a team of System Administrators whose objectives are to setup and maintaining the Engineering Software Development systems for the use by General Dynamics C4 Systems projects. This position requires a good understanding of System Administration for the life of a project. Tasks include, but are not restricted to, the following: o Installation and configuration of PC & SUN Hardware, and Windows & SUN Solaris OS and system tools o Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Servers to support Windows Domain Controllers, Exchange Servers, DNS, NIS, NIS+, NFS, Solaris Automounter, Jumpstart Server, sendmail, and security implementations to secure servers, networking hubs, switches and routers o Backups & tape archive (UNIX: tar, dump, restore, ufsdump. Windows: NTBackup, Backup Exec, Cloning SW) o CASE Tools Administration (Flex License servers, Clearcase, DOORs, Rhapsody, GNU Compilers) o Scripting (UNIX: csh, Perl, Bourne, korn, sed or awk. W2K: Bat Files and Windows Scripting) o Configuration of hardware required to meet program needs in lab environments o Trouble-shooting and diagnosing HW issues with Computers, Monitors, Disk Array systems, Networking devices Applicant must be capable of obtaining a US Top Secret Security Clearance. Applicant must be a US Citizen
* Required Skills: BSCS, BSCE, BSSoftE + 5 years of demonstrated results or equivalent experience: o Experience in installation and configurations of Windows and SUN Solaris OS o Experience in Windows and UNIX platforms o Use of Configuration Management tools (ClearCase, UCM) o Use of CASE tools (e.g., DOORS, System Architect, Rational Rose) Candidate must have Secret Clearance, TS preferred. Must have ability to obtain TSSCI.
