AZ - ISTN Network

  • Job Responsibilities:
    * Location: Scottsdale, AZ * * Type: 12 Month Contract * * Job Description: Duties and Tasks include: o Assist with maintaining Intersite Test Network (ISTN) support materials including: o ISTN Governance Document defining support process and compliance requirements o ISTN Process and procedures o ISTN Support model o Hardware Templates for each variation of site and lab type o Receive connection request forms and review forms for accuracy and sufficiency prior to CRB meeting o Assist with gathering technical requirements from business unit representatives as needed for scheduling and planning the deployment o Work closely with Project manager to provide project schedule support information o Implement new connections per project schedule o Participate in the ISTN Connection Review Board (CRB) meeting o Participate in the ISTN Steering Committee meeting o Maintain ISTN network diagram and supporting documentation based on requirement changes. o Submit unique requests and changes to existing templates and work with GDC4S architecture team for approval and confirmation of compliance with GDC4S security policies o Manage ISTN network applications and hardware as needed o Coordinate and schedule customer test and demonstrations. Provide real-time infrastructure support during customer demonstrations/test. o Collect network test data for analysis and review by the customer. Upon request. * Required Skills: BSCS/BSCE/BS Software Engineering plus 7 or more years of related applicable experience. Specific Experience: o CCNP or CCIE level o Ability to review and understand complex network design documentation o Routing and Switching over Cisco technology-based networks o Some design and Network Security knowledge and experience o Knowledge and experience with o VOIP applications o MPLS solutions o QOS o Ability to operate without supervision o Excellent written and oral communication skills. o Ability to identify networking architecture issues or concerns o Previous knowledge of CiscoWorks and EMC Smarts helpful or experience with similar tools. o Experience supporting large projects with phased targets Communication: Demonstrates effective group facilitation and negotiation skills Teamwork: Able to manage disagreements in ways that preserve good relations and the open exploration of different alternatives Ownership: Able to demonstrate clarity and out-of-the-box thinking in analyzing problems that affect the team Broader understanding of interrelationships within the enterprise networking environment Technical: Expert in more than one domain Project Execution/Mgmt: Able to plan and execute significant project tasks or small projects Ability to lead and to take on technologically challenging tasks Displays good depth of knowledge Risk: Able to embrace risk & define reasonable trade space from which the team can operate
