  • Job Responsibilities:
    * Location: Orlando, FL * * Type: 12 Month Contract * * Job Description: BS Degree in a software engineering discipline with 3+ years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience. This position is seeking a technical contributor as an individual software designer in the development of military C2 Training environments using Simulation and Stimulation. Candidate must have prior software development experience in design and implementation of military simulation or commercial game technologies. Software design, coding, implementation, and testing of small to moderate software simulation solutions is required. Candidate will work for the GDC4S Team in Orlando performing full lifecycle software engineering on modeling, simulation and training programs. This position requires software requirements analysis, detailed design, implementation and test of software as well as development and test of software systems and software applications. Demonstrated experience working within a project group and across departments is desired. Expanded contact within internal work groups. Usually participates with other members of the team. Mentee relationship(s) established. Occasional outside business contact. * * Required Skills: Candidate must have at least 2-3 years experience in software development and coding. Candidate must have at least 2-3 years experience working with C++, Microsoft Visual C++ or in a Microsoft .NET development environment, using Object Oriented Design and software design architectures with focus in two or more of the following areas: JBOSS, JAVA 5, JEE 5, J2EE, Hibernate, or JSP. Experience with Java SDK 1.5 or later, Java Enterprise Edition middleware, Web Services, SOA frameworks, eclipse, and Database design is desired. Experience with DIS/HLA simulation protocols or other networking protocols is desired. Experience with OPNET modeling software is a plus. Knowledge of software compilation and link processes is required. Experience with software debugging and software problem identification/isolation is required. Knowledge of configuration management and CMMI software processes and metrics is desired. Experience with software requirements analysis, software design, software implementation and software testing is desired. Demonstrated experience in software team participation and software project execution is required. Successful accomplishments must include participation in the delivery of small to moderate software intensive systems. Candidate must be able to travel 20% of the time. Candidate must be a US Citizen with an active US Security Clearance *
