* Job Description: Software Engineer will be responsible for software development and/or test on the Mobile User Objective System, a global satellite communications system for the US Department of Defense. The qualified candidate will support any or all of the following: the development of software and configuration/modification of software associated with COTS-selected products, design documentation, integration, test requirements and procedures development, and execution of tests associated with network management and communication systems software. Responsibilities may also include working with the following engineering tools: DOORS, ReqPro, RoseRT, Rose, ClearCase and ClearQuest. *
* Required Skills: BSEE/BSCS/BSCE required with 6-8 years work experience with full life-cycle software engineering methodologies, strong interpersonal communication skills, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. All candidates must have experience with: object oriented design, Java (preferred) and C++ in a Windows or UNIX/Linux development environment, Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest. Experience in the following areas also desirable: software development change management, Perl, UNIX and XML Scripting, and Unified Modeling Language (UML). Some travel may be required. Applicant must be a US Citizen capable of obtaining a US Security Clearance. *
