Job Responsibilities:
* Location: Scottsdale, AZ * * Type: 12 Month Contract * * Job Description: Senior systems engineer with a strong software background. Lead the planning, design/development, integration, and demonstration of systems associated with the dismounted soldier of today's armed services. Lead and/or heavily contribute to new/expanded business proposals, communicate/coordinate with numerous personnel and organizations in order to plan and execute prototyping & demonstration activities, and lead teams in the design/development/integration/test/support of soldier-centric systems. Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Displays a depth of knowledge across multiple technical areas. Participates in development of technical strategies and teaming strategies on multiple projects. Leads medium sized technical proposals and contributes to large proposals. Effectively bridges functional boundaries through listening to and comprehending co concerns of both technical and management communities. * * Required Skills: BS Degree in a technical field related to systems engineering +9 years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience. Advanced Degree Desired. Candidate(s) must have a solid systems engineering skillset but also have a strong background in software engineering as well. Additional desires include project planning and leadership, excellent written & oral communciation, and experience in all phases of a system's lifecycle. Experience with soldier systems is a definite plus. Must be a U.S. citizen and capable of obtaining a U.S. security clearance. Some travel is required. *
