  • Job Responsibilities:
    * Location: Scottsdale, AZ * * Type: 12 Month Contract * * Job Description: The successful candidate will be a strong technical contributor working in an manufacturing engineering capacity in the defense electronics manufacturing industry. Expectations of the candidate will include: - Developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods - Utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards in the execution of day to day assignments. - Implementing and analyzing manufacturing engineering plans and projects. - Implementing manufacturing engineering tools, strategies and systems - Implementing manufacturing engineering plans and strategies for specific products and processes. - Recommending and resolving manufacturing related issues and problems - Following direction - Listening to and acting on mentor advice. - Performing and communicating in a team environment - Promoting process/policy compliance - Supporting continuous improvement initiatives Day to day assignments are generally within an identified work group with direction usually from task lead or project leader. * Required Skills: BS Degree in a technical field related to manufacturing. One to four years experience in electronics manufacturing is highly desirable. This position requires experience or the ability to perform the following functions: a) Taking the initiative in solving problems and proposing ideas; b) soliciting input from others; c) optimizing solutions based on variables given; d) lead teams through various activities; e) completion of tasks that enhanced productivity and efficiency; f) ability to take reasonable risks within the bounds defined; g) promote and implement ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency; h) willingness to take risks within the bounds defined. The selected candidate will be expected to keep abreast of electronics manufacturing technology trends, identify a technical interest, and align their training plans with those interests. Candidate shall have working knowledge of Micro Soft based products and the have the ability to learn new software tools that are used in manufacturing operations. The use of influence and communication skills to accomplish tasks is required. The candidate will have an awareness of business objectives and their role in achieving those goals. A basic knowledge in Lean Manufacturing techniques is preferred as well as Green or Black Belt certification. Ability to multi task and work in an rapidly changing environment is a must for this position. This position requires sitting and standing for extended periods of time and requires the ability to lift 25 lbs. A higher or lower classification will be considered depending on the experience of the individual.
