AZ-Senior Mechanical Engineer
- Job Responsibilities:
* Location: Scottsdale, AZ *
* Type: 11 Month Contract *
* Job Description: Accepts and solves the most difficult technical problems in mechanical engineering. Designs and analyzes mechanical systems, and equipment. Conducts feasibility studies and tests new and modified designs. Prepares detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. Also includes activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems. Researches and analyzes data, such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application. Continues to expand knowledge in domain of expertise. Displays a depth of knowledge across multiple technical areas. Mentors less experienced engineers Participates in development of technical strategies and teaming strategies on multiple projects. Leads medium sized technical proposals and contributes to large proposals. Leads large sized continuous process improvement efforts. Contact within the division including all of engineering, program management and occasionally with business unit management. Effectively bridges functional boundaries through listening to and comprehending co concerns of both technical and management communities. *
* Required Skills: BS Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aeronautical Engineering with first hand experience using Military Specs and Standards. Twelve or more (12+) years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience. Advanced Degree recommended. Familiarization with solids modeling (CATIA and PRO-E preferred), ASME Y-14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Abilities and skills should include either use or application of finite element, shock/vibration, and heat transfer analysis. Software knowledge/skills should include use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Powerpoint, Excel). Previous experience with Unigraphics Configuration Management tools (e.g. TeamCenter) a plus. Active/current DOD Security Clearance is highly desired. Candidate must be a US Citizen capable of obtaining a US Security Clearance *
