AZ-Senior Digital Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
* Location: Scottsdale, AZ * * Type: 12 Month Contract * * Job Description: Responsibilities/Expectations include: - communicate project status to upper management through meetings and reports - identify risks - conduct weekly task leader status meetings - design with the HC916 - design signal processors for systems having 50Hz to 300kHz baseband (analog and digital) AM, FM, FSK, ASK, PSK, QPSK or WCDMA modulation - design and managing PWB modifications - generate SPCRs on ClearQuest - generate formal change documentation - design FPGAs/CPLDs - design EEPROM based power sequencing control circuitry - design with memory ICs - design Compact PCI carrier card design - design data acquisition system - design microprocessor based system - conduct design peer reviews - generate test plans - evaluate test results - find alternates for EOL components - review BOMs - manage sub-contracted component vendors - manage SW test and integration activities - execute HW performance tests - determine root cause and correction action - generate design/analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action reports - perform failure trend analysis - support production test, repair and troubleshooting * * Required Skills: Candidates must have BSEE plus at least 8 years of experience to include: - experience with project management (staff, space, tool, budget, schedule and earned value metrics) - designing with the HC916 - designing signal processors for systems having 50Hz to 300kHz baseband (analog and digital) AM, FM, FSK, ASK, PSK, QPSK or WCDMA modulation - designing and managing PWB modifications - designing FPGAs/CPLDs - designing EEPROM based power sequencing control circuitry - designing with memory ICs - designing Compact PCI carrier card design - designing data acquisition systems - designing microprocessor based systems - familiarity with XCM916X1CTH16 uProcessor performance and operation - conducting design peer reviews - strong troubleshooting skills - good written communication skills - determining root cause and correction action - familiarity with JITC testing and report generation.
