- Job Responsibilities:

* Type: 6 Month Contract *
* Job Description: BS Degree in a technical field related to systems engineering + 5 years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience. Participate in various phases of system design for the development of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and functional enhancements and component design for the Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS). Candidate will participate as an active member of a project team and accept direction and mentorship from senior team members. Candidate will perform stakeholder analysis, development of architectural concept models, trade studies, identification of key performance parameters (KPP), providing system requirements definition, derivation and definition of high and low level system products to support the TAIS system during systems, software and test phases. Works as individual technical contributor, or as leader of a small design or test team. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Performs detailed design and test of software, electrical or mechanical subsystems Begins to identify domain of expertise. Plans and executes project tasks; provide direction when required Applies technical concepts to specific tasks; establishes peer-to-peer mentoring relationships; owns project interdependencies; works to optimize tasks and resources in support of project(s). Increases understanding of process applications within domain of expertise Participates in continuous process improvement efforts. Effectively balances risks taken with sound logic under own initiative. Solution-oriented approach to analyzing technical problems that affect team. *
* Required Skills: Regular contact with senior levels of internal work groups within a project and across a single engineering dept. Travel to customers/suppliers may be required. Participates well in team projects and interacts well with others to produce positive group results. Successful candidates will be familiar with the following tools and languages or their equivalents: SOA, Web Services, Telelogic DOORs, Rational Rose, Rational Requisite Pro, Enterprise Architect, Rational Clear Case, Rational Clear Quest, Clear DDTS, UML design. Familiarity with the following languages and protocols is a plus: Windows, UNIX, Linux, UML design, C, C++, C#, Java, XML, SOAP and E3. Experience in the following areas is a plus: Airspace Command and Control, Future Combat Systems. Candidate must be a US Citizen capable of obtaining a US Security Clearance *
