AZ-IT Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
* Location: Scottsdale, AZ * * Type: 12 Month Contract * * Job Description: Associate Engineer for a coastal/maritime, multi-site Command, Control and Communication network. Responsible for networking hardware/software setup and configuration for prototyping and Integration & Test lab. Equipment is Windows 2000 workstations/servers, Ethernet, Cisco and Vanguard routers. Will also be required to support network design and modeling. May also participate in system architecture definition, requirements analysis, trade studies, integration and test activities. Must posses the ability to manage and handle multiple technical and operational activities. Requires a detailed nature and good oral/written communication skills to support work in a team environment. Must be self-motivated and capable of executing small projects with minimal direction. * Required Skills: Technical Engineering degree (preferably BSEET) or AA/AS in Electronics with a minimum of 5 years IT experience. Experience building computer systems including installing and configuring Windows XP and Windows 2000/2003 Servers. Experience with Patch Management, Active Directory, Imaging technologies, network administration, Symantec Anti-virus and network protocols. Experience with Wise Package Studio, Altiris and Visual Basic is a plus. Must have a detailed nature and be capable of creating and reviewing technical documentation as well as working with Configuration Data Management to maintain IT documentation. Must possess the ability to manage multiple technical and operational activities. Must be resourceful, organized, a problem solver, self motivated with good communication skills. A higher or lower grade may be established based upon qualifications and experience.
