AZ-Configuration Specialist I
- Job Responsibilities:
* Location: Scottsdale, AZ *
* Type: 6 Month Contract *
* Job Description: Within the Information/Configuration Management function, be the custodian of software developed in the course of software product development. Administer software change process consistent with Project schedule. Insure proper identification of functional product characteristics and manage and control changes and status of those characteristics. Verify and control software releases. Work closely with software engineers to configure, establish, and incrementally modify change control environment. Create and verify software version builds. Write and update support scripts and other automated tools. Conduct software configuration analysis and validate configuration through test results. Control deliverable third party contracted software. Monitor and submit project documentation. Write related technical documents. Interface with hardware engineers and hardware configuration management personnel. Person must be willing to work some extra hours if needed. *
* Required Skills: AA degree required. BS or BA degree desired. 2-4 years' experience in software configuration management during hardware product development is desired. Strong knowledge/experience with personal computer operations and applications is fundamental. Experience with UNIX & NT operating systems and Rational tool suite (ClearCase, ClearQuest, ClearDDTS & ClearMake) very desirable. Understanding/experience with Perl scripting would be useful. Strong organizational ability as well as verbal and written communication skills required. Good interpersonal skills are a necessity as individual must be able to work well and contribute in a concurrent product development environment. Must be a US Citizen capable of obtaining a US Security Clearance. *
