AZ-Analog RF Engineer

  • Job Responsibilities:
    * Location: Scottsdale, AZ * * Type: 12 Month Contract * * Job Description: Responsibilities/Expectations -Candidate must have a BSEE & 8 years of demonstrated results other specific knowledge must include the following - Communicate project status to upper management through meetings and reports - Identify risks - Conduct weekly task leader status meetings - Design RF (2 MHz to 2 GHz) circuitry and sub-systems - Design receiver AGC and transmitter ALC circuitry - Design receivers/transmitters for systems having 50Hz to 300kHz baseband (analog and digital) AM, FM, FSK, ASK, PSK, QPSK or WCDMA modulation - Design and test 60Hz AC to high voltage (400V) DC switching power converter - Design power filters - Design and manage PWB modifications - Generate Software Problem Change Requests on ClearQuest - Generate formal change documentation - Conduct design peer reviews - Generate test plans - Evaluate test results - Find alternates for EOL components - Review BOMs (access to and familiarity with TeamCenter) - Manage sub-contracted component vendors - Manage SW test and integration activities - Execute HW performance tests - Generate design/analysis and RCCA reports - Perform failure trend analysis - Support and review EMI/EMC/TEMPEST testing and report generation - Support production test, repair and troubleshooting * * Required Skills: Candidates must have BSEE plus at least 8 years of experience in the following tasks: - experience with project management (staff, space, tool, budget, schedule and earned value metrics) - designing RF (2 MHz to 2 GHz) circuitry and sub-systems - designing receiver AGC and transmitter ALC circuitry - designing receivers/transmitters for systems having 50Hz to 300kHz baseband (analog and digital) AM, FM, FSK, ASK, PSK, QPSK or WCDMA modulation - designing and testing 60Hz AC to high voltage (400V) DC switching power converter - designing power filters - familiarity with EEPROM based power sequencing control circuitry - strong troubleshooting skills - good written communication skills - determining root cause and corrective action - familiarity with EMI/EMC/TEMPEST testing and report generation. Candidate must be a US Citizen capable of obtaining a US Security Clearance *
