  • Job Responsibilities:
    * Location: Scottsdale, AZ * * Type: 12 Month Contract * * Job Description: GENERAL: Candidate will lead and perform Networking and other Systems Engineering activities on US Military programs. In this role you will be responsible to ensure that C4ISR applications that are being developed take full advantage of the network capability, deliver high quality of service, are able to scale to support communications and network bandwidth, including stressed and disadvantage networks. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: These include: - End-to-end Network systems and software modeling, analysis and design. - Network concepts and system operations development. - Network management and implementation - Evaluation of Network and Communication systems performance and security impacts - Integrated Military systems design and development - Technical proposal development and leadership - System integration, test and evaluation - Leadership of small to mid-sized teams, to include teams with customer and subcontractor team members. - Routine contact with senior management and customers. * Required Skills: Must Have the Following: a. BS in Engineering (MS or higher preferred) with 10 or more years of relevant experience. b. MINIMUM 5 years recent experience with network systems design, development, and fielding including understanding of network implementation is REQUIRED. c. Effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams of 10 or more supporting DoD/Government programs d. Demonstrated systems engineering capability in programs that encompass systems and software architectures, requirements analysis, analytical modeling, design, production, integration, test, and transition into operations. e. Application of advanced principles of engineering and management to solve problems involving the development of complex technology f. Oversight and/or management of design and development processes as they relate to the engineering of products utilizing principles and technology of physics, mathematics, engineering and/or related physical sciences. g. Directs development of technical strategies and teaming strategies across business units h. Experience working on and providing technical leadership of large proposals i. Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate technical topics to a diverse audience j. Application of knowledge in identifying leading edge and breakaway technologies k. Exposing high level risks & communicates the risk trade space & mitigation strategies to team l. Demonstrated experiences with some of the following: - implementing IP networks for large systems (> 50 users); experience with Virtual Private Networks (VPN); - router/switch configuration experience; network management and protocols experience; VoIP protocol experience; IPv6 experience; - subcontractor technical management; - software defined radio experiences; - Quality of Service Management & experience; - Net Ready KPP experience; system requirement tool experience (DOORS, ReqPro, etc.) - Tactical radio network experience (e.g., JNN, WIN-T, JTRS, EPRS, etc.); - OpNet modeling - SATCOM experience - Experience with military network security (inline encyrption, guards, etc). - Tactical wireless networks and the impact of waveforms on the IP stack performance. - routing, bridging technologies, network monitoring tools, network attached storage - Understanding of network impacts on server virtualization Recent experience in a DoD or Government environment required. Applicant must currently hold or be capable of obtaining a DoD Security Clearance. Applicant must be able to pass an extended background investigation (EBI) for this position. Applicant must be a US Citizen.
