- Job Responsibilities:

* Job Description: The successful candidate will participate in all phases of system development as a security system engineer on TSAT. The applicant will be required to perform trade studies, develop requirements, perform requirements decomposition, perform system design and interface definition, and provide test support. Apply knowledge of systems, security, networking, and satellite principals and engineering disciplines to develop high assurance system solutions. The responsibilities include interaction with all disciplines of GDC4S engineering as well as with the customer community, prime contractor, and other contractors. Additional responsibilities include providing and supporting internal and external documentation development, meetings, reviews, and associated presentations.
* Required Skills: BS Degree in a technical field related to system engineering plus 6 years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience. The selected applicant will have a background in electrical, computer, software, or system engineering, preferably in a DoD system development environment. The applicant must work well in a team environment and be motivated. The ideal candidate will have experience with the specification and definition of security mechanisms and follow through working with team members and customers to ensure overall system needs are met and security mechanisms are properly incorporated. Experience in some of the following areas is desired: INFOSEC, TRANSEC, COMSEC, OPSEC, COMPUSEC, Network Security, Key Management, Common Criteria, DITSCAP/DIACAP, IPSEC, Guards, and Firewalls. CISSP/ISSEP Certification is a plus. Requires good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills to support work in a team environment. Candidates must be capable of generating and presenting formal and/or informal presentations to customers and project team members. Candidates must be willing to travel in support of business needs. A current DoD security clearance will be considered a plus.
