Job Responsibilities:
* Location: Scottsdale, AZ * * Type: 12 Month Contract * * Job Description: This position functions as an enterprise level technical support engineer focused on Software Configuation Management (SCM) configuration and support making use of ClearCase and Subversion applications. Work entails addressing complex SCM problems where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth knowledge of Clearcase, the operating environment and customer processes. Responsibilities include designing and executing Clearcase/Subversion implementations, writing scripts to automate Clearcase/Subversion related processes, debugging security and build issues, applying and contributing to best practices for the uses of the Clearcase tool. When not supporting Clearcase issues, this position also supports other software development tools used by the engineering community. * Required Skills: BS degree (preferably BSCS or BSEE) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Configuration Management using the Clearcase tool in the administration, implementation and technical support capacity. o A strong understanding of Clearcase MultiSite implementation and operating functionality. o A detailed knowledge of Perl, Korn Shell and SQL and the ability to write, test, debug and deploy process automation or tool development as required. o Very strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills. o Excellent customer service skills providing Clearcase tool technical support. o Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms. Strong interpersonal skills. o Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple and conflicting tasks under tight deadlines in a dynamic working environment. Critical to this is the ability to work independently. o Highly skilled in Unix (Solaris) and Windows with strong abilities to address security and network communication issues. o Working knowledge of Linux (Red Hat Enterprise distribution) o Experience performing software builds on Solaris and Windows platforms. o Exposure to backup and recovery procedures is desired. o An awareness of how Clearcase works with Network Appliance Storage devices. o A working knowledge of Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with ClearQuest and Visual basic is a plus. o Applicant must be capable of obtaining a DOD Secret Clearance
