IC Test Engineer

  • Job Responsibilities:
    IC Test Engineer Job Purpose: Test Engineer for developing and maintaining production test software for cardiac rhythm management products. Responsible for providing electrical and electronic engineering support and expertise in the definition, design, development and test of products. Key Responsibilities/Statement of work: Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, and tests electrical circuits and systems by using current tools, analysis techniques, and technologies. Documents electrical development by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests. Tracks electrical development effort by creating and maintaining records in the approved tracking management tool. - Gathers requirements and develops software using good engineering practices. - Verifies software using IEEE and FDA software validation principles and following approved procedures and standards. - Solves engineering problems by analyzing the situation and recommending course of action. - Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Required Job Skills: Electrical Engineering. Bachelor's degree plus 2-5 years of relevant work experience with a good understanding of production test engineering, or Master's degree with 0-2 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Key Job Requirements: Candidate should be strong in analog and digital circuit design fundamentals and IC test techniques. Experience in prototyping and evaluation of mixed signal and digital electronic circuits in an R&D or engineering lab environment. Expertise in IC test software in C/C++ to perform characterization and production test, experience in developing analog and mixed signal test solutions on various platforms (Teradyne, Catalyst, Flex, etc). Familiarity with scripting language desirable. Prefer individual with knowledge of functional test methodologies and familiarly with manufacturing test instrumentation (waveform generators, digitizers, counter/timers, and current/voltage source and measure instruments)
