Technical Support
- Job Responsibilities:
DESCRIPTION: Seeking an individual to provide systems-related support to resellers and end users of its PDM\PLM and CAD products. The support engineer will be assisting SolidWorks clients remotely through phone, email, or internet correspondence. Duties include: Remotely troubleshoot PC software performance and stability issues Assist resellers and customers in the deployment of SolidWorks products Troubleshoot SolidWorks enterprise-level data management product PDMWorks Enterprise Verify reported software issues and report them to development; offer workarounds where possible. Actively engaged in presale opportunities and assisting account managers with presale activities. Will be responsible for PDM implementation at customer sites.
REQUIREMENTS: Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong problem solving and analytical skills Advanced - PC Hardware Concepts, Technology and Installation Advanced - PC Troubleshooting Advanced - Desktop deployment Experience in writing VB scripts Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server installation, configuring, administration SQL skills, including ability to write custom queries of medium complexity, in addition to moderate administration skills for SQL Server MS Operating System, PC Configuration and MS Scripting Knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Intel platform systems architectures and networks Web Server knowledge IIS
