Principle Engineer
- Job Responsibilities:
1. Establishing and monitors all project schedules and costs.
2. Interacts with sales, management, assembly, and fabrication and ensures complete project
communication.
3. Prepares complete quotations for prospective machine design jobs.
4. Initiates and develops customer contacts and generates new sales.
5. Identifies areas within the company requiring procedural improvement and creates standard
operating procedures where appropriate.
6. Creates machine design tools and procedures that increase design productivity.
7. Provides training, technical assistance, guidance, and team leadership to all employees.
8. Promotes and motivates others within the company, and projects a
positive approach to all job functions and interactions.
9. Provides machine process and motion control systems programming.
10. Plans work for technicians and designers on design teams.
11. Through the concept development process – creates novel and unique design solutions that are
proprietary and create a competitive advantage and its customers.
12. Identifies and creates novel and unique design solutions that are patentable and pursues
intellectual property protection when applicable.
13. Creates and brings forth new product ideas of potential market value for manufacture and sale by
Perbix.
14. Leads all aspects of the creations of concepts, designs, layouts, and assemblies for equipment
and machines.
15. Acts as a direct contact to the customer for aspects of the project.
16. Schedules and conducts all project-related customer reviews.
17. Designs and documents all equipment-related sub-systems, including pneumatic systems,
process control systems, logic and operation plans, plumbing systems, and small wiring and
power systems.
18. Leads a team designing and developing machine process instrumentation and control systems
including PLC control, PC control, custom software, machine interface, database management,
and integration into existing customers manufacturing control systems.
19. Determines, specifies, and where required, develops all machine sensors, and input/output
devices.
20. Complete proper CAD documentation of equipment designs, detail drawings, bills of material, and
as-built drawings for use in estimating, fabrication, and equipment installations.
