Sr. Software Engineer(CRRT)

  • Job Responsibilities:
    JOB FUNCTION: Experienced software design engineer to work within a multidisciplinary medical device development team. This position will be responsible for the software development for a new CRRT device, including all phases of development, from feasibility to requirements definition to design to verification and validation. This will require interface with both internal and contractor project personnel. In addition, this position will support the production and field support software associated with the new device. The successful candidate will serve as a primary software design engineer for the project and should be comfortable working with multidisciplinary projects that require industrial design, mechanical, electronic, electromechanical, and software engineering. KNOWLEDGE: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS: List minimum level required to perform the job competently: Education: o Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar required. Experience: The times below can be concurrent, i.e. this does not necessarily add up to 15 years experience required. o 8 or more years experience in embedded software development o 5 or more years experience in safety-critical systems (medical, avionics, automotive, etc) o 2 or more years experience in Green Hills MULTI / Integrity development Skills: o Experience with embedded software development (design and test). o Experience with safety-critical software development (design and test) o Experience with all phases of software development lifecycle (requirements, design, debug, test, defect resolution) o Experience with programming languages: C, C++ o Experience with Green Hills MULTI, Integrity RTOS o Capable of providing day-to-day technical/design leadership and mentorship. o Ability to work with both internal and external (customer and contract) resources. o Strong communication skills including the ability to write technical specifications and design documentation, create project proposals with technical details, and present verbally in one-on-one or group settings. Below are preferred but not required: o Experience with Software Development Process definition o Experience with Subversion (or similar configuration management tools/methods) o Experience with Requirements Management tools (e.g. DOORS / Requisite Pro) o Experience with unit test tools (e.g. LDRA / VectorCAST ) o Experience with Green Hills SuperTrace probe or similar o Experience with Processors: TI OMAP 3530 o Experience with Integrity RTOS GUI (e.g. Altia, PEG Pro, etc.) Please send updated resume to matt.pagel@sysdyne.com
